Musical Theatre

Following the recent successful Musical Theatre days, we are continuing to expand our Musical Theatre offering  with a whole weekend in 2025! Competitive and non-competitive classes and workshops open to all ages and abilities will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd March 2025 at Bishop Perowne CE College. Daniel Donaldson-Todd will be adjudicating and we will once again have workshops from West End performers.

All large and small group entries are FREE and all solos, duets, trios and quartet entries have 25% off the entry fees if completed by 1st December 2024.

Whether you prefer a solo, duet, trio, quartet or larger group number, the Musical Theatre day has something for everyone! With both competitive and non-competitive opportunities to perform and workshops combining singing, acting and movement for all ages and abilities (including adults!), this day promises to be a joyous celebration of the abundance of local musical theatre talent. Whether you are a keen beginner or an experienced 'triple threat', we would love to see and hear you perform!

Workshops

The WCAF 2025 musical theatre workshops are for all ages and abilities - No experience necessary! The Senior and Intermediate workshops will focus on songs from Back to the Future and the junior workshop will focus on Matilda. The workshops will be led by Connor Lewis from West End Theatre Workshops who has appeared in both shows on the West End! The workshops will focus on singing for musical theatre, working on acting through song and movement. All workshops will take place on Sunday 2nd March.

 

Senior (school yr 10+):  12-2pm (including a Q&A session about auditions and how to prepare for life on the West End)

Intermediate (school yrs 7-9): 2.30pm-4pm

​

Junior (up to school year 6): 4-5.30pm

 

The workshops will run alongside the competitive classes and we will ensure that competitors are able to compete without clashes.
