Michael Lunney, President WCAF
Michael has produced over fifty productions for Malvern-based Middle Ground Theatre Company Ltd, a company he founded in 1988. October 2014 marks his 26th year as the company’s Artistic Director and Producer. Middle Ground is now regarded as one of the UK’s most prolific and acclaimed production companies. He has directed over forty productions, working with many British and Hollywood stars including Kelly McGillis, Dirk Benedict, Richard Johnson, Tony Britton, Barry Foster, Lewis Collins and Stephanie Powers to name but a few. His acting career spans nearly thirty years including both stage and television. He has adapted a number of novels for the stage including his highly acclaimed production of James Kennaway’s classic Tunes Of Glory. He also designs for MGTC and future plans sees his spine-chilling double bill of Classic Ghosts touring with Jack Shepherd, a new production of Richard Harris’ classy thriller The Business Of Murder touring the UK, followed by a tour with Agatha Christie’s A Murder Is Announced.
Paul Farrer, Patron
Paul Farrer is one of the UK’s highest profile media composers. He has composed for numerous films, video games and TV programmes including Dancing on Ice, Gladiators, Ant and Dec’s Push the Button, the Krypton Factor, the Chase, Jedward’s Big Adventure, Fort Boyard, the Jerry Springer Show and the BBC’s most successful international format The Weakest Link. He is the recipient of a BMI Composer Award and is a member of both the Media Executive of the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and a member of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA).
