Entries MUST be made online via Play&Perform.

There are several special classes that solo singers may also wish to enter:

  • More advanced performers may wish to enter the William Lewis Recital class. Entrants to this class should prepare a 15-minute recital of 2 or more contrasting pieces. 

  • The Marian Baker memorial class is another recital class for which a minimum standard of Grade 6 on two contrasting pieces is required.

  • The Sproule class is for performers up to the age of 15. Competitors must perform a poem or an acted scene AND a song or a piece of music on any instrument.

Singing

There are many competitive and non-competitive opportunities for singers of all ages, abilities and experience in many different genres. All choirs and large ensembles have FREE ENTRY and solos, duets, trios and quartets receive a 25% discount until 1st December 2024.

In 2025 we are also very excited to announce that Sir John Rutter will be leading one of his fantastic 'Come and Sing' days on Saturday 15th March as part of the festival, along with an additional evening event: 'Confessions of a Composer'.
