The festival is run entirely by volunteers and we are always in need of extra pairs of hands.
Can you help?
Any assistance you can offer will be gratefully received, but we have particular need in the following areas:
Publicity - preparing press releases and liaising with the media. Some nice crisp copy and swift follow-up to events would be just the ticket. We would love a specialist to lend us a few hours of their time each year.
Advertising - have you got the gift of the gab? We need an enthusiastic person to sell a few adverts for the syllabus and programme. This requires a few phone calls and perhaps a few shop/supplier visits to provide us with much-needed advertising revenue. Can you help?
Stewarding - do you like meeting people? Do you like assisting the professionals? We need a number of volunteers to help with marshalling, assisting adjudicators, help with refreshments and general gofer-ing.
Photography - the festival has need of good quality photos, both reportage and portraiture. If you can cope with indoor lighting conditions, can operate in a discreet manner and work within current safeguarding guidelines, we'd love to hear from you if you can offer your services. All work will be acknowledged.
We are a registered charity and will happily support regular volunteering opportunities for young people who wish to count hours towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award or similar.
Please contact us to discuss any volunteering opportunities.
